Liquid Nitrogen as a Refrigerant for VOC Recovery in the Refinery
VOC Treatment & Recovery
A Cleaner Path to VOC Recovery
Regulations for controlling hazardous air pollutants have become increasingly stringent, but Linde can help find ways to lower your emissions and heighten your earning power at the same time. Featuring cryo-condensation technology, our VOC Recovery System is a highly efficient, flexible alternative to destructive and adsorptive technologies. We can assist if your terminal’s current recovery system is limiting production because of emissions limits or has increasingly high operating costs. Because we understand that what works for one refinery may not suit another, we’ll work with you to tailor the system to meet your needs.
Liquid Nitrogen as the Refrigerant
The cryo-condensation process cools emissions in a process stream to very low temperatures in proprietary and innovative heat exchangers, characterized by their high fractionating capacity of vapors and gases. The emissions are separated by decreased vapor pressure, condensing the VOCs and returning valuable products back into your operation. The nitrogen is cycled back into the process for purging and blanketing operations.
